Living a Soul-Centered life has become my New Year's Intention! I would love to say that I have a meditation cushion, and an alter stocked with sage and candles, in a sacred nook in my home. Alas, I do not. #OmmmGoals
There is a Buddhist adage that goes: "spend 20 minutes a day in meditation - and if you don't have 20 min, you should meditate for an hour." This suggests that our Western lifestyles of, 'burning the candle at both ends in order to achieve success', is downright lunacy.
If you're not ready to dive into a 20 min a day meditation, I get it. Instead, I'm sharing with you my Soul-Centered go-to's of 2018. I mean 2019. *wink*
The goal here is to fine-tune your awareness in your day to day activities. This allows you to open up to new perspectives of the world inside

Have it in your mind, that every day, you're going to do just one Soul-Centered thing. Maybe it's listening to a guided meditation. Perhaps it's reading a chapter of a book that teaches spiritual principles Jot down a gratitude list for the day. Learn exercises to strengthen your intuition. Listen to the ancient wisdom of Sadhguru or Deepak Chopra. Instead of playing your go-to Spotify playlist, download some binaural beats to relax. Watch an episode of Spirit Science to expand your lexicon, and your knowledge. ofyou, so that you can gracefully walk in the world outside of you.
Rebecca Campbell, author of Light is the New Black, summed it up best when she wrote, " Every decision we make, either takes us closer or further away from ourselves. Often it is hard to tune into the subtle energy, but deep down everything is a 'yes' or 'no'. Feel good or feel not as good...Next time you're faced with a decision, ask yourself the simple question, " What solution lights me up?"
In other words, when you stop lighting the candle from both ends and practice the art of daily Soul Stretching, your everyday decision making will become more effortless. Gradually, you will start to live a more fulfilling, happy, and whole existence.
