As a therapist, it's in my DNA to keep a secret. However, I'm happy to share some of MY secrets with you here!

My nightstand currently boasts 9 books. NINE!!! I pick them up when they call for my attention. However, it has become increasingly more difficult to have a long term, cover to cover, relationship with just one book.

Hello. My name is Kaitlin. And I am obsessed with (No this is not a plug *blush*).

It has taken me a long time to release my shame around listening to audiobooks. In fact, up until recently, this was one of my closely guarded secrets.  I have been carting around this stigma that maybe I would be perceived as ignorant, incapable, or lazy. The truth is, I just don't have the luxury of extra time. And really, WHO CARES WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK? Just BE AUTHENTIC is what I preach to my clients all the time!

Why am I ranting about this? BECAUSE!!! I just finished the BEST book!!! I don't care if you get the audiobook or you get the hold-in-your-hand type. JUST GET THIS!!

I Can See Clearly Now - by Dr. Wayne Dyer

This was Dyer's last book that he penned before he passed away in 2015. This particular book has given me a beautiful and objective perspective of how to dance with life!

I often witness internal suffering in others, as well as myself,  which can be mitigated with simple tools, patience, and self-love. There is also the added bonus of having a reverence for the divine. This book so succinctly encapsulates all of that - and MORE!

For my #ConsciousParents

Don't fret if you don't have little ones. These exercises are helpful for adults too!

For several years I have been working with children and teens, offering emotional and behavioral therapy. In fact, if you didn't know, my specialization is in child and adolescent development!

Check out this episode of Soul Stretch Sunday where I give you expert tips on how to train your little ones to gain a heightened level of emotional intelligence (aka. EQ).  Your EQ is flexible, and can expand, as you gain insight and awareness to your internal and external world.

If you found this helpful, please share!
